Dr. Robert Warner

Dr. Rob Warner is a highly skilled and knowledgeable surgeon. His area of interest is surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. He is the most experienced thyroid surgeon in the group. Dr. Robert Warner This experience has permitted surgical excellence with rare complications. The technique perfected by Dr. Warner includes the use of the Xomed NIM nerve monitor and the wound closure with no visible sutures in the skin. Dr. Warner is frequently called upon by his colleagues to assist with surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Dr. Warner is also a highly skilled nasal and sinus surgeon and uses the latest technology to achieve optimal outcomes. Balloon sinuplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, and the use of the LandmarX computer image guided surgery system have permitted better efficiency, less pain, and better results. Dr. Warner and his colleagues at ENT Clinic of Iowa have perfected the use of Stammberger gel and FloSeal as opposed to the uncomfortable nasal packs utilized by other surgeons.

Dr. Warner also has a great deal of experience in terms of reconstructive plastic surgery of the face. He has operated on countless skin lesions of the face and has utilized a variety of reconstructive techniques. These include advancement flaps, rotation flaps, pedicle flaps, myocutaneous flaps, split thickness skin grafts, and full-thickness skin grafts.

Dr. Warner has perfected the use of the Coblator for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, as well as uvulopalatopharyngoplasty. This modality has permitted shorter operating times, decreased postoperative pain, and fewer complications as compared to older techniques. This results in happier patients.

Dr. Warner is also skilled in surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. He utilizes a variety of techniques on an individual basis for each patient. Such treatment may include reduction of nasal airway resistance with techniques such as turbinoplasty and nasal septoplasty. In some patients, additional procedures may be required including uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, tongue reduction surgery, tracheotomy, and the use of the SCOOP transtracheal oxygen catheter.
